Scope of work:

Modelling and as-built documentation of 16,000 anchor and dowel plates.

Anchor plates were used on the turbine house at the Olkiluoto 3 nuclear power plant to fasten the piping and mounts. To verify the structural analysis, these anchor and dowel plates were measured by laser scanning, using our own Leica HDS 6200 laser scanner. A range from -11.75 m to 16.00 m was scanned at approximately 600 laser scanner points. The registration and geo-referencing was carried out with the use of targets (control points), for which the coordinates had already been determined previously. A single laser scanner measurement, i.e. a single scan, took around 12 minutes. The recording, i.e. the transfer of the individual local scans to a master coordinate system, was performed for these 600 scans using the Leica Cyclone software, whereby at least three targets had to be visible within each scan.
