Central Railway Station in Dresden

Dresden, Germany

Project:

Redevelopment of the railway platform terminals in the existing Central Railway Station of Dresden is unique in terms of size of the planned new membrane roof in a project of "construction in existing inventory".

Heitkamp covered the roof area of about 30,000 m² in joint venture in the design of architect Sir Norman Foster, for all railway platform terminals with PTFE coated fiber glass skin, whereby the load-bearing steel arches of this more than 100-years-old structure was revitalized and reconditioned accordingly.
