Heitkamp IKB - MK2, Hotel, office and retail building Dresden Altmarkt

Zech Bau Holding GmbH, a company of Zech Group with headquarters in Bremen, integrates Heitkamp Ingenieur- und Kraftwerksbau GmbH. Zech Group will contribute its resources and know-how in order to position Heitkamp Ingenieur- und Kraftwerksbau GmbH to meet the challenges of the future. All ongoing projects will be continued, the core competencies in power plant and industrial construction as well as construction engineering are to be strengthened and expanded further.

::Inauguration ceremony in Halle

6^th July 2011

The Heitkamp Ingenieur- und Kraftwerksbau branch in Halle has meanwhile completed also the fourth functional building of the Technology and Business Incubation Center in East Germany's second largest technology park on the Weinberg campus in Halle/Saale.

This building, too, was handed over to the Owner and his main tenant on June 26, 20011 in the course of a traditional inauguration ceremony.

::BorWin 2: Laying of the foundation stone

The Tennet Offshore GmbH celebrated in the presence of local and municipal politicians and representatives of the general contractor, Siemens AG, Energy Sector, Power Transmission Division and representatives of the contractors the Laying of the foundation stone for the converter station BorWin2 on 30th June 2011.

::New order: converter station for offshore wind farm

The Power Plant Construction Division of Heitkamp Ingenieur- und Kraftwerksbau GmbH has received an order from Siemens for the turnkey construction of the BorWin 2 converter station.

The offshore wind farms Veja Mate and Global Tech 1 are located about 125 km off the coast to the northwest of Borkum Island and have a power generation capacity of up to 800 MW.

The wind farms will be connected to the mainland by means of underwater cables for high-voltage direct-current power transmission. The onshore cable from Hilgensiedersiel to Diele has a length of approx. 75 km.

::Heitkamp introducing OHSAS standards

In January 2011, Heitkamp Ingenieur- und Kraftwerksbau GmbH have been granted their certification according to BS OHSAS 18001:2007 by Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Zertifizierung von Managementsystemen.

OSHAS is recognized in over 80 countries as the standard for occupational health and safety management systems and thus the best-known and most important standard in this field. In Germany, about 1,000 companies are certified in accordance with OHSAS 18001.

MK2, Hotel, office and retail building Dresden Altmarkt

Project:
10-story new construction of a hotel, office and retail building in the historic inner town of Dresden, directly at the Dresden Altmarkt and the well-known Church of the Holy Cross. With this building a bomb impact due to the war was closed. The project has been in the special focus of the Dresdner public.
